In 1925 the J.G. Boswell Company planted its roots in California’s San Joaquin Valley and grew to become one of the largest farmers in the world. With farming operations in California and Australia, the company produces, processes and markets both Pima and upland cottons, as well as rotation crops such as tomatoes, wheat and alfalfa. The company has taken its farming tradition and enhanced it through innovations in every step of the growing process. The J.G. Boswell Company develops its own seed, insures fertile soil through crop rotation and has developed many of the new techniques and equipment used in modern farming today. The organization expanded its scope with the addition of a commercial real estate division in 1958. Through a joint venture with the Del E. Webb company, Sun City Arizona was developed. From master planned communities to large scale business parks, J.G. Boswell Company’s real estate interests continue to expand throughout the western United States. Although the operation is known as one of the largest farmers in the world, its expertise goes far beyond its reputation. From the development of PhytoGen seed through a joint venture with Dow AgriScience to its tomato processing operations, J.G. Boswell Company is involved in every aspect of its business. |
